Tracey Thomas has been promoted to the position of commercial banking relationship manager and vice president for KeyBank. In her new role, she is responsible for providing financial solutions to large commercial clients, maintaining existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities throughout Alaska. Thomas has been in the banking industry for eight years and joined Key in December 2011, serving as relationship manager for the business banking team for the past four years. Thomas has served as chair of the Key4Women committee for Alaska and was recognized as a 2014 Alaska Market Top Performer. She graduated from Western State College of Colorado.

Northrim Bank promoted four bank officers to the level of senior vice president and hired a new vice president. Katie Bates was promoted to SVP, electronic delivery channel manager; Barb Ervin to SVP, core applications group manager; Heidi Moes to SVP, operations manager item processing and loan support 
services; and Linda Uttech to SVP, facilities manager. Douglas Frey was hired as vice president, security and business continuity manager. Bates joined Northrim in 2001 as a branch operations specialist. She progressed through the ranks to branch manager in 2004. Bates joined the electronic banking department and was promoted to electronic banking manager in 2007, and later was promoted to electronic delivery channel manager in 2012. She is an alumna of the Graduate School of Banking and holds numerous banking certifications. Bates received the Northrim Bank President’s Award in 2012. Ervin has been with Northrim Bank since 2002. Prior to joining the IT department, she managed significant aspects of the bank’s branch administration and operations. In 2014, she moved to the IT department as the core applications group manager. She has over 35 years of experience in banking and finance. Ervin attended the ABA National Compliance School for Deposit Compliance in 2006 and is a 2012 alumna of the Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In 2005, she was awarded Northrim Bank’s President’s Award. Moes was hired at Northrim Bank in December 2001 as a loan servicer. She has been in banking for nearly 18 years, with most of her time spent in lending operations. She received the Northrim Bank President’s Award in 2012. Uttech has been with Northrim Bank since 2012, when she was hired at the assistant facilities manager and promoted to vice president in 2014. Prior to joining Northrim, Uttech worked as the director of property operations at the Hilton Anchorage Hotel, with over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry. In 2015, she managed the Lake Otis Community Branch build, Ketchikan Financial Center renovation, and the Northrim Building remodel. In 2013, Uttech received Northrim Bank’s President’s Award. Frey joins Northrim Bank after serving with the Department of Defense for the past 34 years. Most recently, he was a senior anti-terrorism and security policy analyst at the Headquarters of U.S. European Command in Stuttgart, Germany. He holds a bachelor’s degree in homeland security from American Public University.
