  Armijo    
The international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced that James Reeves, head of the firm's Anchorage office, has been named in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers for his work in international environment law. Reeves represents a wide range of clients in civil litigation, commercial disputes, and matters related to administrative law, real estate and natural resources law. Recognition from Who's Who follows similar honors from The Best Lawyers in America, which selects attorneys based on surveys with top U.S. lawyers, who confidentially evaluate their peers. Reeves was recently named to the 2006 edition of that publication. Reeves also recently earned a Rank One designation from the independent legal services research firm Chambers USA. Based on thousands of client interviews nationwide, Chambers USA ranks attorneys on a scale of 1 to 6 according to technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by clients.

Ron Jones has joined ASRC Energy Services as executive vice president, chief financial officer. Jones brings 12 years of experience in the energy industry and seven years of experience in public accounting to the company. He is the former vice president of finance and administration for VECO Alaska Inc. A 19-year resident of Alaska, Jones holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Idaho. He serves on the board of directors for United Way of Anchorage and is the founding president of Last Frontier Chapter of the Construction Finance Management Association. He also is vice president of the Lake Louise Snowmachine Club. ASRC Energy Services is a subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corp. The company provides integrated engineering, procurement, construction operations and maintenance services for energy and communications projects around the world.


  Liska    
PND Inc. Consulting Engineers has added several new professional staff members in its Anchorage office. Staff engineer Bart Adams works on general civil engineering and highway planning and design projects. Adams graduated from Dimond High School in Anchorage and earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation from the University of Arizona. Senior hydrologist David Brailey works primarily on PND's North Slope hydrology projects. Brailey earned bachelor's and master's degrees in geology from the University of Wisconsin and completed graduate studies in hydrology at Colorado State University. He has been a consulting hydrologist since 1986 and in private practice since 1996. Environmental scientist Jamee Brotherton assists in developing permit applications, agency coordination for permitting issues, assisting in project development, and conducting field studies. Brotherton earned her bachelor's degree in natural sciences with an emphasis in botany and geology from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Staff engineer Misty Butler, handles general civil, structural and bridge design projects. Butler earned an master's degree in structural engineering from Colorado State University and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from New Mexico State University. PND is an Anchorage-based, full-service civil-structural-marine engineering firm that currently employs 90, approximately 40 of whom are registered professional engineers or land surveyors. The firm is headquartered in Anchorage, with branch offices in Juneau and Seattle. PND was founded in 1979.

The Alaska Hotel and Lodging Association has announced its 2006 board of directors.   Fey    
Mayling Armijo has been named by Wells Fargo as manager for its Dimond Mall store. Most recently, Armijo served Wells Fargo customers as a store manager in Albuquerque. She has been with Wells Fargo for three years, and she holds a master's degree in business from the University of Phoenix. Megan Liska has been named manager for Wells Fargo's Anchorage Midtown Wal-Mart store. Liska joined Wells Fargo as a personal banker trainee in 2004 and was most recently service manager for the Midtown Wal-Mart store. Joseph Steger has been promoted by Wells Fargo to business banking specialist for Anchorage. In his new role, Steger will help Anchorage small business customers find the right financial solutions to achieve their business goals. Most recently, Steger served Wells Fargo customers as a personal banker for Wells Fargo's Fifth Avenue Mall store. He has been a Wells Fargo team member for more than three years.

James Glenn has joined the Alaska Spine Institute, where he will work as a physician's assistant. Glenn recently received his second bachelor's degree in clinical health services from the University of Washington's MEDEX Physician Assistant program. Prior to returning to school, Glenn worked for five years at the Alaska Spine Institute as an occupational therapy technician and athletic trainer, designing and implementing physical rehabilitation programs. Glenn received a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Arizona State University in 1997 and has been a certified athletic trainer since 1998. The Alaska Spine Institute combines diagnosis and treatment of spinal conditions, pain management and neuromuscular rehabilitation. Located on the Alaska Pacific University campus, ASI provides comprehensive physical and occupational therapy services for patients with acute and chronic conditions, work-related injuries, auto injuries, sports injuries and other personal injuries.


  Weiland    
Julie A. Fey has joined Residential Mortgage as a mortgage loan officer for Wasilla. Fey has mortgage lending experience since 1993. She is involved with the Valley Board of Realtors and has been a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society since 1996. Annemarie Weiland has also joined the firm as a mortgage loan officer for Wasilla. Weiland was mortgage lending experience since 2001. She is a life-long Alaskan and is a member of the Palmer Rotary.
