Matt Finley of Westport tosses beached squid onto the rocks at the Westport boat basin Monday. Many dead and dying Humbolt squid clogged the basin's waters in recent days, prompting state wildlife officials to remove the daily harvest limit in the area through Oct. 19. The squid have spawned and the increased harvest isn't expected to pose any conservation concerns, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
