CIRI Alaska Tourism Corp. operates the tourism branch for Cook Inlet Region Inc., the Alaska Native regional corporation for the Southcentral Alaska area.

The subsidiary owns and operates several of the state's leading marine day-cruise companies and lodges. CATC packages and sells tours through its company, Alaska Heritage Tours. CIRI Tourism owns Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, Seward Windsong Lodge and Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge. It also owns Kenai Fjords Tours, Prince William Sound Glacier Cruises and Mariah Tours.

Working at CIRI Tourism provides employees with a fun, high-energy environment and a sense of pride in the properties they represent. It's one of the few organizations that expose employees to the cultures of Alaska's first peoples, and to the state's more pristine environments.

CATC has a generous leave policy, and employees may experience Alaska tourism opportunities complimentary or at very reduced rates.

At the end of the busy tourism season, CATC holds a meeting, where employees are nominated and selected to received recognition awards in areas of achievement, leadership, sales volume, commitment, and other areas of special recognition as necessary. Employees are also recognized with company pins for length of service.

CATC offers medical, dental, vision, prescription and hearing coverage with the option to elect a high or low deductible, with adjusted premiums for the employee. This is available at the first of the month after completing 30 days of employment.

Employees may elect to have health premiums, unreibmursed health expenses and day care expenses deducted from their paycheck on a pre-tax basis. Employees may use a pre-funded debit card for health and day care expenses or submit claims for reimbursement.

The company's employee assistance program is provided at no cost to employees and offers confidential counseling, financial and legal services to employees. Employees also have the ability to perform self-screening online and have access to an abundance of information on the employee assistance Web site.

Giving back to the community is important, so employees are offered the opportunity to volunteer to assist with company-affiliated community activities and receive compensation if activities take place during business hours.

CATC provides product donations for fundraisers to support the needs of the community.
