Site selected for Mat-Su VA clinic


The MeridianPoint Office Center at 865 North Seward Meridian Highway, between Palmer and Wasilla, has been selected by the Alaska VA Healthcare System as the site for the new Mat-Su VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic The space will be designed and built to meet VA medical care specifications and is expected to be completed by the end of the calendar year. The new clinic will provide Mat-Su veterans with routine primary care as well as mental health services. Some 8,000 Alaska veterans reside in the Mat-Su Valley. VA clinics opened in Anchorage in 1992, Fairbanks in 1997 and Kenai in 2001. A VA outreach clinic is also planned for Juneau in spring 2009.
