Steve Alden joined AT&T Alascom as an account executive in the wholesale markets division. He is responsible for business accounts on a statewide basis. His more recent work was with Aurora Technologies as an account executive. He has more than 15 years experience in the communications industry.

Marsh USA Inc. has hired Jennifer Johnson as an Employee Benefits Services Analyst in their Anchorage office. Johnson is responsible for assisting consultants and clients with their day-to-day service needs. Johnson's prior career experience includes positions at Alaska Executive Search and at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she earned her associate of arts degree in 2004.

Marti Morehouse and Dagmar Sanchez have been promoted by Northrim Bank to asset/liability and budget officer and training and development officer, respectively. Morehouse's new responsibilities include creating, approving, maintaining and reporting all aspects of the annual bank-wide financial budget. She has more than nine years banking experience and has been with Northrim since 1998. Sanchez's new responsibilities include employee training programs throughout the bank. She has more than 25 years banking experience, including 10 years in item processing and 15 years in branch administration. She has been with Northrim since 1994.

Brian Whilden is the new customer service manager for the Anchorage operations of PenAir. Whilden joined PenAir in 1988 after separating from active duty with the U.S. Air Force. He began his career in King Salmon working the ramp and was quickly promoted to station manager in Dutch Harbor. In 1996, he assumed the same position back in King Salmon, PenAir's busiest hub.

Karen Morrissey is the new chair of the Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. Morrissey has been with the credit union for more than 30 years and is an 18-year member of the board. She previously served on the supervisory committee before joining the board. Other board members include Pete Raiskums, vice chair; Bill Murray, treasurer; Ron Risch, secretary; Jon Dunham, training officer; and Dan Lommel and Daphne Mambrook. DAFCU is the state's third largest credit union with more than 43,000 members, assets in excess of $325 million and nine locations statewide.

Bob Howard has rejoined the Alaska General Office of New York Life Insurance Company as an agent in Fairbanks. Howard is a cum laude graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in mathematics. Howard's previous work experience includes a stint at the senior representative for IBM. He is a northern Alaska coordinator for the Rotary International Youth Exchange program.

Hart Crowser Inc. based in Anchorage, has added two new staff members to its operations. Trevor White and Lindsey Vorachek recently joined the firm as an environmental engineer and a chemical engineer, respectively. White's expertise is in remediation technologies, hydrogeology, aquatic chemistry, hazardous and toxic waste management and arctic engineering. He is a former six-year member of the U.S. Army National Guard. His current work focus is on supporting the firm's contract with the Alaska Railroad Corporation. Vorachek, who is originally from Kodiak, is also working on the firm's ARC contract, as well as the contract handling Agrium's Kenai Nitrogen Operations. Her previous experience includes collecting Alaska river data for the National Weather Service. Hart Crowser Inc., is a 150-person environmental and engineering consulting firm headquartered in Seattle with offices throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and New Jersey.
