Chenega Corp. was ranked among the top 100 federal prime IT contractors for the third year in a row. Chenega placed 47th on the 2006 top 100 list published by Washington Technology, a leading trade publication that serves the federal IT marketplace, and was the only Alaska-based corporation to crack the top 50. This ranking was based on 2005 technology contracting revenue. The 2006 ranking is a rise from 82nd place on last year's list.

Chenega provides professional services for some 65 prime contracts in 34 states and seven countries. Its primary lines of business are information technology, security, intel and military operations, training, logistics and telecommunications, military base operations, environmental services and light manufacturing.

Broken out by those companies ranked that are privately held, Chenega ranked eighth, and of the small businesses on the list, Chenega ranked third.
