Alaska Air's Mileage plan wins award
By the Journal of Commerce
The Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan was named frequent flyer program of the year at the 15th Annual Freddie Awards.
Alaska's frequent flyer program also won top marks from readers of InsideFlyer magazine for best Web site (alaskaair.com) and best award (15,000 miles for a 50 percent discount on any published fare).
Alaska placed second in six other categories: "Best Elite Level," "Best Customer Service," "Best Award Redemption," "Best Bonus Promotion," "Best Newsletter" and "Best Affinity Credit Card."
"This really is a testament to our belief that everything begins and ends with how we listen to and treat our customers," said Ann Ardizzone, Alaska's managing director of marketing programs, in a statement.
