Video on demand now available from GCI

GCI recently introduced video on demand on its cable platforms in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Palmer that allows subscribers to access free and pay-per-view programming whenever they want. GCI cable subscribers in these communities now have access to newly released DVD movies, classic movies, movie channel original programming, and four free on-demand libraries: National Geographic, PBS Kids Sprout, NFL Network and Speed. Subscribers of premium channels such as HBO, Showtime and Starz will have access to additional on-demand movie libraries with their subscriptions. Movies and events will also be available on demand allowing users to select from a library of movies and new releases to rent and view at any time.
