Non-union employees would have benefits choice under PLA project agreement

A bill requiring that nonunion employees on a project where the state has required a project labor agreement be given the choice of contributing to a company benefits plan as well as a union benefits plan will be up for action in the Senate State Affairs Committee March 4. The committee held hearings in Senate Bill 276 on Feb. 29. The sponsor is Sen. Con Bunde, R-Anchorage.
