Movers & Shakers
Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corp. has hired three new employees. John Dittrich is the company's new chief financial officer. Dittrich has 16 years finance experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Michigan. He had most recently served as the vice president of finance for ASRC Energy Services. Cindy Thomas has joined Ukpeagvik Inupiat as its in-house corporate attorney. Thomas earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 1989, and law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1999. She had most recently practiced at the Anchorage law firm of Landye Bennett Blumstein LLP, providing legal services to Alaska Native corporations, municipalities and tribes. James Stotts is the company's new vice president of government services. Stotts has held various leadership positions throughout his 30-year career, including vice president of operations at Arctic Slope Regional Corp. and the manager of environmental projects for the Inuit Circumpolar Conference in Nuuk, Greenland. Ukpeagvik Inupiat is the village corporation for Barrow, with business operations in construction services, product supply and maintenance, transportation and marine services, and technical and professional services.
Arthur Corliss has joined AT&T Alascom as a senior systems administrator. Corliss has more than 15 years of experience in the information technology sector, including five years of experience in the telecommunications industry. AT&T Alascom has some 300 employees throughout Alaska.
Pradell and Associates has hired two new employees. Rashelle Gutierrez has joined the law firm as a secretary.
Gutierrez had previously worked for Alaska National Insurance Co. Brianna Speltan is also a new secretary.
Speltan had previously performed office work for V.F. Grace. Pradell and Associates is an Anchorage-based law firm, practicing family law and personal injury among other areas of law.
Megan Lawrence has joined Alaska Airlines as director of government affairs with responsibility for federal affairs activity. Lawrence most recently worked for former U.S. Rep. George Nethercutt, handling air transportation and homeland security issues. Lawrence also has worked for Winterbauer & Diamond, a Seattle-based law firm, as an attorney, and she is a member of the Washington State Bar Association. Alaska Airlines, an Alaska corporation founded in 1932, operates throughout North America, including 20 locations across Alaska.
Rae Jones has joined AMC Engineers as electrical designer. Jones has
an associate's degree in architectural engineering technology from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He specializes in facility lighting design. Anchorage-based AMC Engineers is a mechanical and electrical engineering firm specializing in facility designs.
Durrell Law Group has hired two new attorneys. Julie Wrigley practices in the areas of estate planning and probate. Cole Lindemann specializes in real estate, business and tax law. Anchorage-based Durrell Law Group specializes in business law and estate planning.
