Lloyd appointed Fish and Game Commissioner

Denby Lloyd, a veteran of many posts in the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, is the state agency's new commissioner. Lloyd has served as acting commissioner since Dec. 26. He was officially named commissioner Feb. 3 by Gov. Sarah Palin. Since 1974, he has held numerous positions in the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and other resource management agencies in Alaska. Lloyd is a certified fisheries scientist with the American Fisheries Society and an associate with the American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists. He will also serve on the North Pacific Fishery Management Council.
