Lynette Anne Babcock is the new Alaska branch sales manager for Multiple Technologies Corporation. As such, Babcock is responsible for management, staffing and business development at the Anchorage branch office. She was most recently an account executive at CompuCom Systems Inc., where she was practiced account management and technical sales consulting. Babcock has also served as client services manager and business development manager at Mercury Data Group Inc. She is currently enrolled in the University of Phoenix Online program.

The National Association of Catering Executives held their annual awards dinner in January to recognize their 2002 award winners and announce their elected officers for 2003. Rebecca Kucko, the owner of Evalyn's Floral, was named the 2002 Affiliate Member of the Year; Susan Sery of the Anchorage School District is the Volunteer of the Year; recognition for the Off-Premise Caterer of the Year went to Kathy Davis, the owner of Kathleen's Creative Catering; and Vicki Byrum, the catering director for Westcoast International Inn, is last year's On-Premise Caterer of the Year; she will also be the new association president. Phyllis Rice of the Egan Convention Center is the association's new first vice president; Sharon McCaffery-Linden will serve as the second vice president; Kucko is the new treasurer; Julie Bowles of Sysco Food Service of Alaska is the new affiliate representative; and Lorna Collins of Elemendorf Clubs will serve as secretary. Cindy Marshall, of Horizons Catering and Doyon Universal, will continue her efforts with the association as the immediate past president.

Duane E. Dudley is the new Merrill Lynch business financial advisor in the Anchorage office. Dudley will be responsible for working with business owners and operators to help meet their financing and cash management needs. He will offer commercial loan products to small and midsized businesses, as well as work on a personal basis with company owners to improve cash flow. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch as one of 40 business financial advisors in the country, Dudley -- who has more than 14 years of commercial lending experience -- was vice president of commercial lending for Northrim Bank in Anchorage. Dudley graduated with honors in business from Tacoma, Wash.-based Pacific Lutheran University.

Wells Fargo Bank Alaska has appointed Loren Prosser as a business banker for the Ketchikan marketplace. He has been recognized by the corporate leaders as assistant vice president and is the president of the Alaska chapter of the Wells Fargo's Native Peoples Team Member Resource Group. Prosser, who has been with the bank for three years, was previously the Prince of Wales store manager. He will continue to serve businesses on the island. Keith Carnes will fill the Prince of Wales Island management position left vacant by Prosser. Carnes, a prior personal banker at the island store, is a recent graduate of the Wells Fargo management training program, and holds various positions with the bank. He has been a member of the Wells Fargo team for 13 months.

Northrim Bank has added two new employees to its management team and promoted one from within the company. Tammy Strom has been hired as the new assistant vice president and marketing officer; John Delano is the new vice president and commercial loan officer; and Heidi Roesler has been promoted from human resources assistant to professional development officer in the human resources department. Strom manages Northrim's marketing research and Management Customer Information File, and administers the bank's customer comment tracking system. Her duties include analyzing the bank's performance in customer service, new account activity, and overall sales performance, along with marketing efforts such as direct mail and product promotion. Strom has nearly 19 years of banking and 12 years of marketing experience. Delano is responsible for developing and managing a commercial loan portfolio, reviewing loan requests, presenting loan packages for approval, generating new business and supervising loan support staff. Delano has more then 26 years in lending experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics from the University of Tampa. Roesler is responsible for overseeing employee development in technology and lending. She designs, develops and presents technology training courses, manages the bank's internal education assistance program, and administers training related to policies, procedures, and external educational enrollment and tracking. Roesler has three years of banking experience, a master's degree in public administration and management from UAA and a bachelor's degree in political science and english.
