Wells Fargo is state's top small-business lender


In 2004, Wells Fargo was the top small-business lender in Alaska for loans of $100,000 or less, according to the latest Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) data, according to a recent press release from Wells Fargo.

Wells Fargo provided 3,348 loans of $100,000 or less for a total of $92.9 million, a 26.4 percent increase over 2003. Wells Fargo was also the top lender to small businesses in Alaska's low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, with 525 loans of under $100,000 for a total of $15.9 million, a 15.5 percent increase over 2003, the company said.
