Associated Builders and Contractors of Alaska will hold "Management Skills for Field Supervisors" presented by Dave Gilmer of Udelhoven Oilfield System Services. The training will be held on Friday, Feb. 7 at the ABC office, 3380 C Street, Suite 100, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with lunch provided. The cost is $25 for ABC Members, and $35 for non-members. The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce will hold its weekly Make it Monday Forum at noon Feb. 3 at the 4th Avenue Theatre. The scheduled program will feature advertising with Rich Nerland of the Nerland Agency. The cost is $14 for members and $20 for others. The Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation is hosting the 10th Annual Alaska Symphony of Seafood Product Tasting & Soiree. The event will be held Feb. 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Fourth Avenue Theatre, 630 West 4th Avenue. A People's Choice award will be presented to the top vote getter. In addition to seafood products, there will be appetizers, dessert, entertainment and door prizes.

The Wasilla Chamber of Commerce will hold its weekly Must Be Tuesday luncheon Feb. 4 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Mat-Su Resort, 1850 Bogard Road. This week's program will feature a presentation by former Gov. Walter Hickel concerning his proposal for establishing a Community Dividend Fund. Immediate Care in conjunction with the IBEW-NECA will hold Health Fair 2003 on Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers School, 5800 B Street, Anchorage. They will offer health screenings, blood pressure checks, first aid classes and more. The event is free with free parking. The Blood Bank of Alaska will also be on hand conducting a blood drive. The Alaska Native Heritage Center announces that Wells Fargo is sponsoring the ANHC Cultural Awareness Workshops. The sponsorship will allow cost reductions to all attendees. The cost is $100 for businesses and $75 for non-profit organizations for the two-day workshop. The next available workshop is Feb. 3-4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Alaska Manufacturers' Association and Alaska InvestNet present the first annual Entrepreneur University Alaska Feb. 6 from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Anchorage Downtown Marriott. The seminar will cover the life-cycle of a business including executing a realistic business plan, marketing and sales, setting prices and finding funding. Keynote speakers include Geoff Larson of Alaskan Brewing & Bottling Company in Juneau and Scott Craig with Screenlife, LLC in Seattle.
