R. Kevin Tune, director of internal audit for the Alaska Housing Finance Corp., earned the Certification in Control Self-Assessment from the Institute of Internal Auditors. The CCSA designation requires thorough examination, high standards of character, proof of education and professional experiences and validated training.
David White, a compliance specialist with AHFC, earned the Certification in Tax Credit Compliance from Spectrum Seminars. This designation is given to those specializing in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit programs.
Spenard Builders Supply has promoted LoAnn Larson from human resources manager to vice president of human resources effective last December. "LoAnn Larson is a strong asset to Spenard Builders Supply," said SBS President Ed Waite. "She earned this promotion as a result of hard work and innovative thinking. Stacie Stevens has joined AdWorks, based in Anchorage, as a manager. In her new position, Stevens is responsible for expanding AdWorks services to include marketing planning, consultation and multi-media placement. AdWorks is the current manager of the Municipality of Anchorage's People Mover transit system advertising. She previously has worked for KTUU TV, KTVA TV, Alaska Business Monthly and GCI Yellow Pages.

Cheryl Ponder has joined Residential Mortgage, LLC, as a mortgage loan originator. She has 18 years experience in the real estate and mortgage loan industry and is a member of the Mat-Su Mortgage Brokers. She's been a resident of Alaska for 35 years.
Richard McIalwain is the new financial advisor for the McDonald Financial Group, which is part of KeyCorp. His new responsibilities include offering retirement, financial and estate planning in the Alaska market. He is a certified financial planner and graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colo. He'll be based out of KeyCorp's Midtown offices at 101 W. Benson Blvd, Suite 302.
The Anchorage Home Builders Association named Larry Partusch of Partusch Plumbing & Heating as its 2003 Subcontractor of the Year. Partusch was chosen for outstanding community involvement and charitable contribution. He is one of two new members elected to the 2004 AHBA Board of Directors.
