Movers and Shackers
Daniel Seamount has been reappointed to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. The six-year appointment is effective March 1 and will expire in 2011. Seamount was originally appointed to the commission in 2000. He fills a seat designated for a geologist. Prior to his original appointment, Seamount worked as a geologist for Chevron U.S.A. Inc., Marathon Oil Co. and Union Oil Co.
Terry Horton is the new executive director of Habitat for Humanity Anchorage. She previously worked for the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs and has experience in grant writing, small grants administration, volunteer recruitment and program management. Horton is a lawyer and nonprofit manager who has implemented civic education and advocacy campaigns for nearly 10 years. Habitat for Humanity International, based in Americus, Ga., is an ecumenical Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing.
Mike Rich has been named branch sales manager of the Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union's headquarters branch in its financial center in Anchorage. Rich has been with Denali Alaskan for nearly five years, most recently serving as manager of the credit union's Minnesota Drive branch. Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union is the state's third largest credit union, with nine branches located in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau.
Architecture/Engineering Marketing Association announces new board
The Architecture/Engineering Marketing Association of Alaska has elected its 2005 board members. The new board members are president Jodi Fondy of RSA Engineers, president-elect/programs Rachel Ramsey of USKH, vice-president/membership Becky Souhrada of Shannon and Wilson, secretary Leah Rasmusssen of Rise Alaska, treasurer Lorraine Culbert of Bristol Environmental & Engineering Services Corp., director of publicity Corissa Schock of Porath Tatom Architects Inc. and director of elections Andrea Soland of R&M Consultant Inc. The board's immediate past president is Evelyn Clark of Coffman Engineers. The Architecture/Engineering Marketing Association of Alaska is a nonprofit organization enhancing the marketing and business development of architecture and engineering firms through professional development, seminars and networking opportunities.
