The Association of Legal Administrators has appointed Mary Hilcoske to the Region 5 Board that oversees the western United States and Canada. Hilcoske is the first Alaskan appointed to this board. She is the administrator at DeLisio Moran Geraghty & Zobel, P.C. in Anchorage.
Stacy Schubert, president of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, has completed a week of professional development with the Institute for Organization at the University of Arizona in Tuscon, Ariz.
Debra E. English, a labor consultant in the Municipality of Anchorage Employee Relations Department, has been appointed by Gov. Frank Murkowski to the state Personnel Board, which administers the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. English will serve a six-year term.
Anchorage Assembly Chair Dick Traini was elected to the board of directors for the National League of Cities during the organization's recent Congress of Cities held in Nashville, Tenn. Traini will serve a two-year term on the 40-member board governing what is the oldest and largest national organization representing municipal governments in the United States.

Craig Olson of Petersburg has joined the staff of Alaska Boat & Marine LLC, based in Juneau and specializing in commercial vessels and gear. Olson has many years experience in shipyard, marine fabrication and ship chandlery operations.
Harold Frank of Juneau is the new Alaska Operations Manager for Ridolfi Inc. Frank is a graduate of Sitka High School and has a bachelor's degree in natural resource science from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. He brings 15 years of experience in natural resource management and most recently was the tribal administrator for the Douglas Indian Association Tribal Government in Juneau. Ridolfi Inc., is headquartered in Seattle, Wash.
ASCG Incorporated, an Anchorage-based engineering, architectural and technical service consulting firm, announces two new hires. Jim Sharp, PLS, has joined the ASCG Survey Division as a land surveyor. He has nearly 30 years survey and mapping experience and most recently was the right of way engineering supervisor with the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities Central Region. John Stricklan, PE, joined the ASCG Engineering Division as a senior civil engineer. He has 10 years experience in engineering, construction management and project management.
Joe Gelione is now a commercial loan officer and vice president in the corporate lending division with First National Bank Alaska. His new responsibilities include development of business and real estate loan portfolios.
Wade Lundberg has become a registered professional engineer in Alaska. He currently is a civil engineer with PND Incorporated Consulting Engineers in Anchorage. Lundberg joined the firm in 2000 after completing his master's degree in engineering management from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
