Totem Ocean Trailer Express, Inc. has recently promoted Claudia Roberts to Vice President, Pricing and Phil Morrell to Vice President, Marine Operations. Roberts has 20 years experience with TOTE, becoming the first woman vice president in TOTE's 28-year history. Roberts will oversee the pricing, documentation, and market research departments in her new capacity. She holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Washington. Morrell will oversee all segments of TOTE's marine operations. He joined TOTE in 2002 as marine superintendent and has over 22 years experience in the shipping/transportation industry with Todd Pacific Shipyards, Sunmar Shipping, and Holland American Line Westours. Morrell holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Oregon.

Stephen H. Sheaffer, a director of Thomas, Head & Greisen, APC, has been awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation credential by the American Institute of Public Accountants. The credential recogonizes CPA's with extensive experience in business valuation. Requirements to earn the credential include holding a valid CPA certificate, providing evidence of substantial experience and continuing education in business valuation, and passing a written exam.

William J. Tobin and Carl F. Brady, Jr. of Anchorage, Grace Berg Schaible of Fairbanks, William G. Moran, Sr. and William G. Moran Jr. of Ketchikan will be inducted into the Alaska Business Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel Jan. 30. Junior Achievement of Alaska Inc. began the Alaska Hall of Fame in 1987 to honor outstanding individuals of Alaska business. Since then it has become one of the state's most prestigious events, inducting new laureates on an annual basis. The Hall of Fame exemplifies the diversity of Alaska in terms of geographical regions, business and industrial heritage and cultures.
