Allstate Insurance Co. announced the opening of a new agency in Anchorage. Owned and operated by agent Kay Rodriguez, the full-service agency offers a complete line of products and services, including auto, property, commercial and life insurance.

Rodriguez comes to Allstate with 24 years of insurance industry experience.

The Kay Rodriguez agency is located at 5001 Arctic Blvd., Suite 201, in Anchorage. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment. The agency can be reached at (907) 562-0003 or by e-mail at kay@allstate.com.

Now celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of Allstate Insurance Co., Allstate Corp. is the nation's largest publicly held personal lines insurer.

Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union opened its 10th Alaska branch Dec. 22 inside the Carrs grocery store at the Northway Mall. The full-service branch offers deposit and loan products and services seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is the third Denali Alaskan branch to open inside a Carrs, following other branches at Abbott Drive, in Anchorage and in Wasilla.

Denali Alaskan will also have ATMs at the new location. In addition to cash dispensing, the on-site ATMs offer the Credit Union's members the ability to make deposits 24 hours a day.

Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union is the third largest credit union in Alaska, with more than 47,000 members and assets in excess of $340 million. The credit union's nine branches are located in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Wasilla.

Royal Caribbean is introducing its Explorations program, with shore excursions that aim to encourage guests to Alaska and other ports.

Packages include sledding with huskies in Juneau, exploring the wild Yukon in Skagway, and searching for bears in Ketchikan sound.

With more than 135 tours available in Southeast Alaska alone, Royal Caribbean's Explorations are offered for guests of all ages, and at every activity level, for virtually every Royal Caribbean cruise itinerary.

Alaska shore excursions are available at www.royalcaribbean.com and can be reserved in advance. Excursion details are also available as a downloadable brochure and are customizable by port city, ship and sail date.

Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 20 ships currently in service and three under construction. The line also offers unique land-tour vacations in Alaska, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand through its cruisetour division.

A familiar voice is returning to the country's only national Native radio call-in talk show. Harlan McKosato has returned to Native American Calling to work as host of the show.

McKosato is an award-winning journalist who has worked in print, radio and television and has created and implemented a youth leadership program for American Indians. McKosato has a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Oklahoma.

McKosato joins other recent additions to the Native America Calling staff, including Ethan Stein, production engineer, and associate host and producer Merritt Youngdeer. Patty Talahongva hosted NAC from May 2004 to mid-November 2006, when she left the program.
