Angoon Native corporation buys Nashville building

By The Associated Press

JUNEAU -- Kootznoowoo, Angoon's Native village corporation, has purchased a 40,000-square-foot office building near the airport at Nashville, Tenn.

The building is the headquarters for the Tractor Supply Co., a national retail chain that markets equipment and supplies to the agricultural industry.

Kootznoowoo Chairman Matthew Kookesh said the building will be a solid income producer and is a major step in the corporation's efforts to diversify its assets and boost income.

The purchase was financed through Key Bank. The price was not disclosed.

It is a continuation of the village Native corporation's effort to beef up its real estate portfolio, officials said.

Kootznoowoo acquired a 60,000-square-foot building near the airport at Albuquerque, N.M., in February.
