Dr. Jared R. Kirkham, M.D., specialty-trained physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, is joining Anchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic June 1. As a specialty-trained physical medicine and rehabilitation expert, Kirkham’s skills include a wide variety of advanced techniques to effectively diagnose and treat injuries and physical limitations. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Kirkham completed an internship in medicine and surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at The University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

First National Bank Alaska recently announced the appointments of a new branch manager and an assistant vice president/loan officer. Jennifer Brody is the new branch manager at the Parkway Branch. She will be responsible for business development, consumer loans, branch operations and customer service at First National’s location in East Anchorage. Brody first joined First National as a teller in 2008. She excelled at numerous Anchorage branches, including a time as Parkway’s customer service representative. Equipped with more than 10 years of banking experience in Anchorage and on the Kenai Peninsula, Sheila Lomboy was named loan officer and appointed assistant vice president. She will provide commercial banking opportunities and other services to Alaska businesses.

Kate Blair has joined Tesoro as the government and public affairs manager for Alaska, based in Anchorage. Matt Gill, External Affairs Senior Manager for Tesoro, previously covered both Washington and Alaska and will now focus on Washington and Oregon. In her role, Blair is responsible for state and local government and public affairs in Alaska while working with the refining, logistics, and marketing leadership teams. She will also manage the community investment program through the Tesoro Foundation. Blair was previously the committee and projects coordinator for the Alaska Oil and Gas Association and before that, a specialty representative with Pfizer. Prior to moving to Alaska 10 years ago, Blair was a Division I women’s hockey coach at both the University of Maine and Mercyhurst College. Blair holds a master’s degree from Mercyhurst College and bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.
