The U.S. Department of Energy will hold a conference entitled “Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency for Tribal Community and Project Development for Alaska Natives,” at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel. The conference is aimed at tribal leaders; tribal economic development, planning and natural resources staff; federal staff; and tribal entrepreneurs. The conference is free to tribal members and Bureau of Indian Affairs employees. The Wind-Diesel Workshop 2008 will be held April 23-25 in Girdwood, immediately following this training session.
