Era Alaska unveils UA-themed aircraft

On June 6, Era Alaska unveiled the first University of Alaska themed commercial airplane in the world. One side of the aircraft is painted with a University of Alaska Fairbanks Nanook and UAF colors, the other side with a University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolf and UAA colors. In a statement, Era CEO Bob Hajdukovich said the plane underscores the strong partnership between Era and the universities, highlighted by the campuses’ aviation degree programs. The plane is a Bombardier Dash 8 model, which seats 37 people and offers full in flight service. The UAF/UAA plane will fly any Era scheduled route. Era Alaska is the largest regional airline based in the state, offering daily passenger and cargo services to nearly 100 communities across Alaska. (Photos/Courtesy/Era Alaska)
