Homer-based show airing on Discovery Channel

The Kilcher family will show the world what living rugged in Alaska is all about in the new show "Alaska: The Last Frontier." The show delves into how the family settled here 80 years ago, living off the land and building a foundation near Homer. As Atz Kilcher puts it, "Therre's a lot more freedom in Alaska."
The Kilchers have earned their share of fame in Alaska. Atz is one of the state's foremost singer/songwriters. He's also the father of pop star Jewel.
"Alaska: The Last Frontier" airs on the Discovery Channel at 10 p.m. eastern/Pacific time.
