Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor Training

This course will be taught from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Pioneers of Alaska Igloo.  Course instructors, Torie Baker and Troy Tirrell will cover:   • Cold water survival skills • EPIRBs, flares, and maydays • Man overboard recovery • Fire fighting • Immersion suits and PFDs • Emergency drills • Helicopter rescue • Life rafts • Abandon ship procedures   This course is USCG-accepted, open to all mariners, and recommended for captains and crew serving on any commercial vessel.  The course meets the training requirements for commercial fishermen operating on documented vessels beyond the federal boundary line.   This course is FREE for commercial fishermen, $110, non-fishermen AMSEA members, and $175 for all others.
