The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Luncheon and Conference is a social, informative, and passionate event created to raise awareness for cardiovascular diseases while empowering women to take charge of their heart. This luncheon supports efforts to save lives from heart disease, the No.1 killer of women, by sharing knowledge about heart disease prevention and raising money for research and community programs related to women’s heart health.
This year’s keynote speaker is journalist and popular television news personality Mark McEwen, former anchor of “CBS This Morning” and weatherman on “The Early Show.” In 2005, he suffered a stroke and has written a book, “Change in The Weather” about his experience and recovery.
